Acura Unveils Precision Electric Crossover Concept
The Japanese company introduced the concept of electric crossover Acura Precision. According to the company, the car demonstrates the brand’s corporate identity, which will be used in all future Acura electric models.
Like the Honda Prologue, the upcoming GM Ultium-based Acura crossover will go on sale in 2024. Now the Japanese automaker is demonstrating only basic design solutions that can be used to create a production car. Since the false radiator grille has lost its functional load in electric vehicles, Acura decided to endow it with decorative functions and equipped it with lighting. The Acura logos on the front and rear of the body also glow, but whether this decision will be kept in the serial incarnation cannot be said with certainty.
The interior of the cabin will be transformed in accordance with the driving mode. If the driver is set to actively participate in driving the vehicle, then the Instinctive Drive Mode will focus his attention on the instruments due to the red backlight, and in the Spiritual Mode, automatic control will take over, thanks to which the unusually shaped steering wheel can move away from the driver, and the backlight with projection effects will create a feeling of being in an underwater space. Acura’s touchscreen center console will provide tactile feedback, making it easier to interact with the interface while driving when the driver’s eyes are on the road.
