Zeekr Starts Delivering Electric Vehicles with LFP Battery

Zeekr, a Chinese electric vehicle brand owned by Geely, has begun shipping EVs equipped with an advanced LFP battery that can reach 80% charge in just 10.5 minutes.

Today, the company began accepting orders for the updated Zeekr 001 and 007 of the next model year. The range of trim levels was revised, both cars received in most of them a more advanced SEA Intelligent Driving 2.0 autopilot based on lidars and a pair of Nvidia Orin X processors. Most importantly, the updated Zeekr 007 sedan in senior trim levels began to be equipped with an advanced Golden Battery traction battery, which, in combination with an on-board network voltage of 800 V, is capable of replenishing the charge from 10 to 80% in 10 and a half minutes. This should be enough to cover a distance of 482 km according to the CLTC cycle.

This advanced traction battery, paired with an 800-volt onboard network, significantly improves the speed and efficiency of charging. According to CnEVPost, just five minutes of charging can provide up to 265 km of range on a normal CLTC cycle, while 15 minutes of charging can add 582 km of range.
