IBM Launches New Watsonx AI Platform

International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation has launched watsonx, a new artificial intelligence and data platform that will help companies integrate artificial intelligence into their business.

Watsonx’s launch is motivated by the challenges many companies still face when deploying AI in the workplace.

At the same time, 30% of business leaders who took part in the IBM survey cite trust and transparency issues as barriers to their adoption of AI, 42% cite privacy issues, especially with respect to generative AI.

Watsonx solves this problem. IMB said companies will be able to use Watsonx as a tool to train and deploy their AI systems, automatically generate code using queries and large language models for a variety of purposes, such as formulating chemicals or modeling climate change.

Using Watsonx.ai, which IBM describes as “an enterprise studio for AI developers,” users can also validate and deploy models, and control models after deployment, ostensibly consolidating their different workflows.
