Elon Musk Unveils Plans For The Development Of SpaceX And Significant Advancement Of Civilization

Ahead of SpaceX’s IPO, Elon Musk spoke in an interview about his vision for the company’s future, space communications, AI development, and the steps needed to significantly advance civilization.
A video distributed by the company shows Elon Musk’s comments regarding the project to launch computing centers into space that will be used in AI infrastructure. “Part of our goal is to convey to people that we don’t need any magic or anything that doesn’t exist. These are mostly technologies that have already been mastered for the V3 generation of Starlink satellites. We don’t think this is a huge challenge compared to what we’re already doing,” explained the CEO and founder of SpaceX.
By placing computing satellites in Earth orbit, the company hopes not only to power them with solar energy but also to effectively cool them by dissipating thermal energy in space. The first satellite of this type will be able to generate up to 150 kW of computing power at peak and 120 kW on a long-term basis. Musk explained that a typical Nvidia GB300 rack consumes about 140 kW at peak. Computing satellites are easier to build than telecommunications satellites because they don’t require an antenna array. Reusable Starship rockets will be able to launch large quantities of solar panels, radiators, and chips into Earth orbit, necessary for the construction and repair of space data centers. SpaceX, a Texas-based company, will begin producing specialized satellites in large quantities starting late next year. These satellites will at least borrow the solar panel array and heat exchange system from Starlink V3.
