Meta AI Soars To #5 In App Store After Launching Muse Spark

The Meta AI app has risen to fifth place in the US App Store following the launch of its new AI model, Muse Spark. The app jumped from 57th to fifth place in just 24 hours.
US tech company Meta has unveiled its first major artificial intelligence (AI) model since it began a massive investment to strengthen its position in the highly competitive AI market nine months ago.
The Meta AI app has been installed 60.5 million times worldwide on the App Store and Google Play, 25 million of which were installed this year alone. Over the past five months, downloads have grown by 138% compared to the first five months after launch. India was the largest market by downloads, followed by the US, Brazil, Pakistan, and Mexico. This is the first major release under the leadership of Alexander Wang, head of Meta Superintelligence Labs. In the coming weeks, the model will be available on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and Meta smart glasses.
According to Meta, Muse Spark has advanced reasoning capabilities and can answer complex questions, especially in science and mathematics. The company added that the AI model is particularly adept at medical consulting tasks.
“To improve Muse Spark’s health reasoning capabilities, we engaged over 1,000 physicians to help curate training data and ensure more factual and comprehensive answers,” the company blog states.
