Oppo has finally unveiled its long-awaited foldable flagship, the Oppo Find N6, which is billed as one of the thinnest in its class. The device features an 8.12-inch main OLED display with QXGA+ resolution and a 6.62-inch cover screen.

The Find N6 uses new materials to address common issues with foldable devices, particularly screen bending. The new device features a second-generation titanium hinge manufactured using 3D printing.

Oppo used laser scanning to measure the hinge surface with an accuracy of 0.3 micrometers, then used liquid 3D printing to deposit polymer droplets, which were then cured layer by layer with UV light. This reduced the hinge’s unevenness from approximately 0.2 mm to 0.05 mm. Oppo claims that, combined with its self-flattening flexible glass—which is 50% thicker, has 100% better shape recovery, and is 338% more warp-resistant—the screen actively “returns to its original position” when unfolded. This, the company claims, prevents long-term display deformation.

The Find N6’s internal LTPO OLED display measures 8.12 inches. It supports a resolution of 2248 × 2480 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Its typical display brightness is 600 cd/m² (1800 cd/m² in HDR mode and 2500 cd/m² peak). The external screen is also an LTPO OLED. It measures 6.62 inches. It supports a resolution of 1140 × 2616 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Its typical brightness is 600 cd/m² (1800 cd/m² in HDR mode and 3600 cd/m² peak). The smartphone is TÜV Rheinland certified for one million folding cycles and has received water and dust protection according to IP56, IP58, and IP59 standards.

The device is powered by a high-performance Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It offers 12 or 16 GB of RAM, as well as 256, 512 GB, or 1 TB of storage. The smartphone is 8.93 mm thick when closed and 4.2 mm thick when open. It weighs 225 grams.

The Oppo Find N6’s photography capabilities are on par with top-end camera phones: a 200MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom. It supports 8K and 4K 120 FPS recording with Dolby Vision, as well as digital zoom up to 120x.

Prices for the Oppo Find N6 start at CNY 9,999 ($1,450) for the 12/256GB version and go up to CNY 11,999 ($1,740) for the top-end 16/1024GB configuration.
