Apple announced the 14-inch MacBook Pro and iPad Pro based on the M5. The new models will go on sale on October 22. Prices start at $1,600 for the version with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.

The iPad Pro’s biggest innovation is the Apple M5 chip, featuring a 10-core processor (four performance cores and six efficiency cores). Each of the ten graphics cores features a neural network accelerator for AI algorithms, including a third-generation ray tracing engine. A dedicated 16-core AI accelerator, the Neural Engine, offers improved performance and power efficiency.

In addition to the new processor, the tablet now also has other proprietary chips: the Apple N1 communication module with support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6, and the Apple C1X modem for versions with mobile communications.

Unified memory bandwidth has increased by 30%, exceeding 150 GB/s. RAM capacity is now 12 GB for entry-level models with 256 and 512 GB storage, and performance has also doubled. The updated Apple iPad Pro is available in 11- and 13-inch models with displays supporting refresh rates up to 120 Hz. External monitors are supported, and Adaptive Sync technology ensures minimal signal lag. Fast charging is also available, allowing you to recharge to 50% in approximately 30 minutes—supporting adapters of 40 W or higher.

The 11-inch iPad Pro with 256GB of storage costs $1,000, while the 2TB version is twice as expensive. The 13-inch version starts at $1,300. The devices will go on sale on October 22.
