Samsung has made a technological breakthrough by releasing the world’s first 115-inch Micro RGB TV. This innovation is based on the use of miniature RGB LEDs (less than 100 microns thick) that are precisely placed behind the panel. This design allows for an unprecedented level of control over each individual red, green and blue pixel.

Samsung’s Micro RGB backlighting technology is billed as an upgrade to Mini-LED backlighting, which uses an array of tiny white or blue LEDs positioned behind the TV’s LCD panel. Micro RGB backlighting uses an ultra-fine pattern of individually controllable red, green, and blue LEDs, each less than 100 microns in size. The new backlighting is powered by Samsung’s Micro RGB AI engine, which the company says “analyzes every frame in real time and automatically optimizes color for a more realistic and immersive picture.” The technology delivers improved color accuracy and contrast by precisely controlling the intensity of individual LEDs. Samsung says it can boost color in dim scenes, making them appear brighter and more vibrant.

The TV design stands out with its all-metal frame, which elegantly unites the screen and the body. The device supports a high refresh rate of up to 144 Hz, variable refresh rate (VRR) technology, ALLM mode, FreeSync Premium Pro, and is also equipped with a 70-watt speaker system with 4.2.2-channel Dolby Atmos sound and Q-Symphony function.

For wireless connection, the TV supports Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3 and Apple AirPlay 2 technology. In terms of wired connections, it offers four HDMI 2.0 ports (one of which supports eARC), two USB Type-A ports, an Ethernet port and an optical audio output.
