The First Full Trailer for “Mortal Kombat 2” Released

Warner Bros. has released the debut trailer for Mortal Kombat II. The 2021 action sequel will continue the story of the original, adding new characters. In particular, the list of fighters will be expanded by Johnny Cage, who can be seen in the video.
The two-and-a-half-minute clip shows former Hollywood star Johnny Cage, played by Karl Urban, being drawn into the legendary tournament. The brutal competition, known as Mortal Kombat, pits fighters from Earthrealm and Outworld against each other in a battle for the fate of all worlds.
The trailer featured characters like Raiden (Tadanobu Asano), Kitana (Adeline Rudolph), Jade (Tati Gabrielle), Baraka (S.J. Bloomfield), Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada), Bi-Han (Joe Taslim), and Shao Kahn (Martin Ford). The trailer also showed off several fight scenes (featuring Johnny Cage, Baraka, Shao Kahn, and more), as well as one of the fatalities, where Scorpion literally sucks the soul out of an enemy before effectively slicing them in half.
The premiere in foreign cinemas is scheduled for October 24, 2025.
