Zoom Renamed AI Assistant To AI Companion
The video communication platform Zoom introduced an updated AI tool, AI Companion, which will help users quickly solve some work tasks – the platform administration assures that it will help increase their productivity.
In its blog, Zoom clarifies that AI Companion is the new name of the Zoom IQ tool, the capabilities of which have expanded. Previously, it compiled summaries of chat discussions and generated answers to incoming questions. Now AI Companion allows you to quickly prepare for a work meeting, get summaries of previous meetings, and also find relevant documents. Users will be able to call AI Companion directly during virtual meetings, sending support requests or quickly finding answers to various questions – the tool turns into a full-fledged virtual assistant.
AI Companion is based on Zoom’s proprietary artificial intelligence model combined with Meta Llama 2, as well as neural networks from OpenAI and Anthropic.
By the end of September, AI Companion will learn to generate email responses, automatically determining the most appropriate intonation and text volume. In the future, the system will help analyze the effectiveness of presentations by tracking how long speakers and the audience spent talking and listening.
