Activision Unveils Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
As part of the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 presentation, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the next installment in the popular military shooter series from Activision, was officially announced.
The events of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will unfold in 2035, after the finale of Black Ops 2. The world is on the brink of chaos after the events of the previous parts of the sub-series – the Black Ops team led by David Mason must eliminate the threat in the form of a manipulative villain who is trying to control society through fear. The authors are focusing on the story campaign – this time it can be completed in co-op.
They promise “the most mind-blowing Black Ops ever” and “the complete package”: a groundbreaking co-op campaign, iconic multiplayer with new maps, and a Zombies mode (again with rounds). Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is expected to be released in 2025 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store, Battle.net), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S. Treyarch and Raven Software are responsible for the development. The full presentation of the game will take place before the end of the summer.
