The New GeForce Now Supports Xbox PC Game Pass

Nvidia’s cloud gaming service, GeForce Now, is getting even more convenient for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. As early as this week, games from Xbox PC Game Pass will be available on the platform, allowing gamers to avoid long downloads and large installation volumes. Even if their gaming laptop or desktop computer lacks a powerful graphics card, gamers will still be able to enjoy high resolutions and refresh rates.

Not all games will be immediately available for streaming on the Nvidia service. While the Microsoft Store integration is now complete, the process of transferring all games from PC Game Pass subscriptions is still ongoing.  Subscribers may have to wait a while for their entire game library to be fully accessible on GeForce Now.

The addition of Xbox PC games to GeForce Now is the result of a 10-year agreement between Microsoft and Nvidia. This agreement allows Nvidia to license Xbox PC games for streaming on its platform. This is part of Microsoft’s strategy in response to regulatory concerns surrounding the proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Microsoft is looking to appease regulators and win deal approval by supporting cloud gaming and partnering with other companies.
