“The Best In History”: What The iPhone 15 Looks Like

Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino hosted a traditional October presentation, which this year was called Wonderlust. The “wonderlust” was the iPhone 15 family. The company, without false modesty, called one of the new smartphones “the most professional in history with the best iPhone camera in the history.”

The new products inherit the design of the previous generation iPhone, but one important change immediately catches your eye – the new iPhones have lost the bangs with the front camera and Face ID sensors. Now the camera and sensors are located in the Dynamic Island, that is, in a pair of holes in the screen that together form an elongated black area at the top of the screen. In the previous generation of iPhone, the presence of Dynamic Island was a distinctive feature of the iPhone Pro series.

The iPhone 15 features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display, while the iPhone 15 Plus has a larger 6.7-inch display. The screens have become brighter compared to their predecessors, with a brightness of 1600 cd/m2, and a peak brightness of 2000 cd/m2.  There is support for Dolby Vision and HDR10.

Each of the new products is based on last year’s 4nm Apple A16 Bionic processor, which was used in the iPhone 14 Pro. It combines two high-performance and four energy-efficient cores, as well as a 5-core GPU. Apple promises that the new products will provide high autonomy due to the increased energy efficiency of this platform.

The most important upgrade of the new iPhone 15 compared to its predecessors is the cameras. The camera is 48 megapixels, it supports shooting in a variety of modes, including 4K, at night or in motion. In addition, portrait mode has been improved and new technologies have been introduced to improve the quality of photos.

iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will go on sale starting September 22, starting at $799 and $899, respectively, for versions with 128 GB of flash memory.
