Sony Announced PS VR2 Will Launch In Early 2023
Sony announced on Twitter that the PlayStation VR2 virtual reality headset will be released in early 2023. The exact date was not given though. The company also did not disclose any additional details about the device.
In February, the manufacturer showed off the design of Sony’s next-generation VR headset, as well as the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller. The design of gadgets is made in a similar style with the PlayStation 5 console.
The PS VR2 features a 4K display and is capable of running at 90 or 120 Hz. The viewing angle of the device is 110°. The gadget uses foveal rendering, which renders certain parts of an image sharper to improve console performance. Connecting the new iteration of Sony’s VR headset is possible with a USB-C cable.
At the time of the launch of PlayStation VR2, about 20 games will be available on the platform, including projects in the Horizon and Walking Dead universes, as well as VR versions of No Man’s Sky and Resident Evil Village.
