Review of the Sennheiser HD660S2
Our tech vlogger Tech Space created a review of the new Sennheiser HD660S2.
We didn’t see many changes in design. Here we have black plastic, some metal and metal grids at the sides. These headphones were engineered in Germany and produced in Ireland, so it has a high quality. It is felt sturdy enough. The plastic which is used here is of a high quality. With these headphones you can go for longer sessions, because it will be lighter on your head.
The headphones are very comfortably built. Fairly lightweight, with comfy plush ear pads that offset some of the intense clamp pressure imposed by the plastic frame. The feeling inside isn’t memory foam, but it is absolutely comfortable.
The set has a variety of cables:
- Headphone Cable – 4.4mm Balanced;
- Headphone Cable – 6.35mm Unbalanced;
- 6.35mm to 3.5mm Adapter.
Sennheiser has made some technical improvements with the HD 660S2. The airflow around the trandsducer has been optimized, resulting in a greater sensitivity. And the most exciting change we see, is the new tuning on the S2: a little more treble, and significantly more extension on mid and sub bass.
The headphones are very warm sounding. They will serve perfectly to people who like jazz music, rock and classical music. The sound is very nice in terms of dynamic and in terms of imaging. It will serve well to people who is going to watch movies with it.
The price of Sennheiser HD660S2 is about 599€.
