Microsoft Reveals New Forza Motorsport Details for Xbox Series X|S and Shows Gameplay
The next Forza game, Forza Motorsport, will release on Xbox Series X/S and PC sometime in 2023. The corresponding announcement was made during the conference for developers Xbox Developer Direct. In addition, the trailer of the game is presented.
To recreate the cars, the authors used advanced technology, which, according to them, makes the new Forza Motorsport the most realistic in the series. Along with this, the game promises ray tracing during races in 4K resolution at 60 FPS.
After making the cars extremely detailed, the developers used a spectrophotometer to show the interaction of vehicles with sunlight and racing lights as realistically as possible. Depending on the type of surface and the combination of paints on the surface, the light will reflect off the cars in a unique way.
Spectators on the tracks will no longer look like cardboard boxes, tens of thousands of three-dimensional models are fully animated, which will provide a more realistic immersion in what is happening on the screen.
In the new Forza Motorsport, cars will also deform and dirt realistically based on the surface used, details, track type and weather. For example, in some cases they will be covered only with dust, in others they will strongly collect dirt in recesses and niches.
The release of the race will take place in 2023 on PC and Xbox Series X|S. The developers did not name the exact release date, however, another presentation of the racing simulator will take place on January 26.
