Lucid Presented The Most Energy-Efficient Electric Car In The World
The American manufacturer of electric cars Lucid Motors presented the Air Pure 2025 and loudly announced its record energy efficiency in the field of electric cars. This new model set a record thanks to its ability to cover 8 kilometers on just 1 kWh of energy, and this promises unprecedented fuel efficiency and a range of 676 kilometers.
Air Pure is Lucid’s most affordable model with a starting price of $69,900. The new version received an updated battery with a capacity of 84 kWh (instead of 88 kWh in the previous version) and innovative heat pump technology, which was previously only available in the older Sapphire version for 249 000 dollars. This technology, according to the company’s representatives, will significantly increase the mileage in cold weather.
The new Air Pure will have a record economy rating of 146 MPGe (miles per gallon of gasoline equivalent) and an EPA-estimated range of 420 miles (676 km).
Lucid’s leadership in energy efficiency may soon be called into question as competitors such as Mercedes-Benz develop their own super-efficient electric cars.
