IKEA Launches Vappeby IP67 Bluetooth Speaker For $15
IKEA’s Vappeby lineup has been expanded with a new waterproof Bluetooth shower speaker. The price of $15 allows the novelty to compete with most inexpensive analogues, except for the cheapest ones.
According to the manufacturer, a portable Bluetooth speaker at 50% volume can work up to 80 hours without recharging. Supports connection of two devices in a stereo pair. Technical characteristics of Vappeby are not disclosed, but the presence of dust and moisture protection according to the IP67 standard and the preservation of performance after 30 minutes of being under water are emphasized.
It is unlikely that the sound of the speaker will satisfy sophisticated music lovers, but the convenience and small size, combined with the low price, make it a potential hit. The device will go on sale in April.
