Cyberpunk 2077 Sales Reach 25 Million Copies
CD Projekt RED shared sales data for Cyberpunk 2077 and the Phantom Liberty expansion at its investor presentation. The last time Cyberpunk 2077 sales were shared was in September 2022. Then they reached 20 million copies.
As it became known, total sales of Cyberpunk 2077 worldwide exceeded 25 million copies. Over the past year, the game has recorded 5 million copies, since at the end of last September the figure was 20 million.
According to CEO Adam Kicinski, Cyberpunk 2077 reached this peak faster than The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: less than three years versus four and a half. Combined sales of both franchises have surpassed 100 million.
In addition, CD Projekt RED announced that it is preparing a film project with live actors in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe with the media company Anonymous Content (True Detective, Mister Robot, The Revenant).
The film is at an early stage and will tell a completely new story from the world of the game. Created in close collaboration with the Cyberpunk 2077 creative team.
