Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Announced
Activision and Sledgehammer Games have officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. A full trailer for the shooter was published after players completed the Shadow Siege in-game event in Warzone.
The events of the new game will start immediately after Modern Warfare 2. In the story, Captain Price and OTG-141 confront the “greatest threat”: war criminal and ultranationalist Vladimir Makarov is spreading his power around the world.
In addition to “iconic humanism”, Modern Warfare 3’s story campaign mission offers a mission with “unprecedented freedom” for the player, where the choice of approach to the passage is favorable.
As for multiplayer, there will be 16 maps from Modern Warfare 2 (2009) at launch, three locations for Ground Wars / Invasion and one for War, as well as 12 new main maps for the 6v6 format added after release.
Developed by Treyarch, Modern Warfare 3’s zombie mode will debut in the sub-series for the first time and will include the “largest Call of Duty zombie map ever” – players will experience survival in an open PvE world.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III will release on Windows PC via Battle.net and Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One on November 10, 2023.
