Elon Musk To Remove Bans From X (Twitter)

August 18, Elon Musk announced that the ability to add users to the black list will disappear from Twitter. Accordingly, now no one will be able to restrict access to reading their records.

The head has not yet disclosed when such a function will disappear from the social network. According to him, he simply does not see the point in it.

In the post, he noted that the feature’s capabilities would only be limited to blocking another user from sending direct messages. At the moment, users can block each other in order not to see the posts and profiles of blocked accounts.

Though some reminded the businessman that the App Store and Google Play require social media apps to allow users to block harmful content.

Therefore, the function is unlikely to be removed from Twitter. A similar thing happened with Elon Musk’s statement about the rejection of the light theme of the interface on the social network.
