Asus has unveiled its first RAM kit, the ROG DDR5 RGB Edition 20. The product was announced at the ROG DAY 2026 event in China.

The modules were developed in collaboration with Biwin, now an ASUS certified supplier. The first kit was a two-stick kit with a total capacity of 48 GB (2×24 GB). ASUS didn’t pursue extreme frequencies, opting for DDR5-6000, which is currently considered the sweet spot for Intel and AMD processors. Timings are much more interesting, and the manufacturer claims CL26-36-36-76 timings, which are very low for such a capacity. This was achieved through the use of carefully selected SK hynix M-die chips.

The modules now support Intel XMP and AMD EXPO profiles, but the engineers also added a dedicated ROG Mode preset for ROG motherboard owners. Details about what exactly it does are still scarce, but it’s expected to provide more aggressive memory optimization when used with ROG motherboards.

In China, the ROG DDR5 RGB Edition 20 48GB memory kit is priced at 5999 yuan (approximately $880). Sales are expected to begin in late June. Asus has not yet confirmed plans for a global launch of its RAM modules.
