Apple Watch Series 9 Introduced
Apple presented the Apple Watch Series 9 smartwatch during its presentation today.
The S9 processor has 5.6 billion transistors, which is 60% more than the previous three generations of Apple Watch Series. It has a quad-core neural engine, as well as an updated graphics core, the performance of which is increased by 30%. Using a neural engine makes it possible to launch the Siri voice assistant directly from the screen of a smart device without the need to use an iPhone. The new engine also handles processing AI tasks twice as fast as the hardware of the previous generation watches and supports the new Double tap gesture for controlling music playback, receiving and ending calls, taking photos and videos, viewing menus and other functions. To do this, just touch your index finger to your thumb twice – you don’t need to touch the watch itself, as shown in the photo below.
The new watch uses the Apple U2 ultra-wideband chip, which will significantly improve accuracy when determining the location of the gadget in the Find My app. The maximum screen brightness of the Apple Watch Series 9 has increased to 2000 cd/m2 – twice as much as that of the Apple Watch Series 8. The new version of the gadget uses a more modern version of the optical sensor that measures the user’s heart rate – this means that the watch will more accurately determine physical condition of a person.
The Apple Watch Series 9 smart watch received the watchOS 10 operating system, which has a significantly redesigned user interface. The new OS places a big emphasis on widgets, watch faces, and new features. The Digital Crown provides access to a selection of widgets, and applications such as timers, stopwatches, and record players will now appear as widgets
