Geely and Baidu Show Off Robo X Track Hypercar with Autopilot

In 2021, Geely Holding and Chinese IT giant Baidu created a joint venture to produce Robo cars, although they eventually entered the market under the Jiyue brand. The first was the Jiyue 01 electric crossover, followed by the Jiyue 07 liftback. Now the partners have set their sights on a hypercar and showed the Jiyue Robo X electric concept at the Guangzhou Auto Show.

It is noteworthy that the hurricane dynamics of acceleration of Jiyue Robo X is combined with a power reserve of 650 km, which is provided by a combination of a traction battery with a capacity of 100 kW h and good aerodynamics. The creators of the car claim that when developing the design, they were inspired by the appearance of fighter aircraft, and such features will become the canon of auto design for the next twenty years. The car body is made of high-strength aluminum and carbon fiber, its weight does not exceed 1850 kg. The two-seater cabin invites you to dive into it through two guillotine-type doors. The squat silhouette is determined by the proportions of the body: with a length of 4650 mm and a width of 2000 mm, its height does not exceed 1195 mm. The wheelbase of 2700 mm at the same time provides both good stability and solid space in the cabin, which is natural given the presence of only two seats.

The partners plan to launch small-scale production of the Jiyue Robo X coupe in 2027. However, its circulation will be limited to 88 units. The price has not yet been announced, but you can already reserve the car by making a deposit of 49,999 yuan.
