Motorola Introduces ThinkPhone 25
Motorola has unveiled a new smartphone, the ThinkPhone 25, with 5 years of software updates and security.
The Motorola ThinkPhone 25 features a 6.36-inch pOLED LTPO display with a resolution of 2670 × 1220 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a peak brightness of 3000 cd/m2. The display supports HDR10+ and provides 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space. Durable Gorilla Glass 7i is used to protect against scratches. It also reports SGS Blue Light Reduction certification, confirming reduced levels of harmful blue light for the eyes, and SGS Motion Blur Reduction, indicating the use of technology to reduce image blur.
The smartphone is powered by the Dimensity 7300 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of uMCP flash storage.
In addition, Motorola has equipped the ThinkPhone 25 with the following hardware:
Main: 50 MP Sony LYT-700C, f/1.8 aperture, dual-pixel PDAF, 1.0 µm pixel size, also has optical image stabilization.
Ultra-wide: 13 MP, f/2.2 aperture, 1.12 µm pixel size, 120° field of view.
Camera: 10 MP, f/2.0 aperture, 1.0 µm pixel size, optical image stabilization, 3x optical zoom.
Front: 32 MP, f/2.4 aperture, 0.7 µm pixel size.
High-quality sound is provided by stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. There are also two microphones. The 4310 mAh battery supports fast wired charging at 68 W and wireless charging at 15 W. The dimensions of the smartphone are 154.1 × 71.2 × 8.1 mm, weight – 171 g.
The new ThinkPhone will receive software and security updates for five years, expected until Android 19 is released. Motorola expects to sell the ThinkPhone 25 in Europe and other markets for $554 starting in November.
