Snapchat Web Messenger Launched
After talking about it in the past, Snapchat has finally taken it one step further and released the web version of their popular app. The version is called Snapchat for the web, and it does what you’d expect from a full-sized app, but the added convenience is that it’s all accessible from your web browser, unfortunately it only works in Google Chrome at the moment.
Functionally, the messenger does not differ from the mobile version – there is a field for text messages, sending files, audio and video calls. Snap noted that the popularity of video communication is now growing. It is also noted that in the future the web version may have new features from the mobile application, if they are in demand.
Of the interesting features, we note the function of synchronizing correspondence. That is, you can start a conversation on a smartphone, and finish it on a PC.
It is also noted that the web application has security features. For example, sent messages self-destruct after 24 hours, you can not take screenshots of correspondence
