The Range Rover Electric SUV Finally To Go On Sale

Having announced the electric SUV back in December 2023, Jaguar Land Rover had intended to introduce the Range Rover Electric in 2024, but it was delayed a couple of years on its way to market.
Externally, the electric Range Rover retains the model’s signature look. Engineers reshaped the front end, installed an aerodynamically optimized grille and new wheels, and redesigned the underbody to reduce drag.
The SUV is powered by two electric motors with a combined output of 550 hp and 850 Nm of torque. The model is based on the same versatile platform used by the gasoline and hybrid versions of the Range Rover.
JLR claims the powertrain’s traction is 20% better than other electric motors of comparable size. The car accelerates to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.3 seconds, and from 50 to 75 mph (80 to 120 km/h) in 2.7 seconds.
The SUV is equipped with a 118.5 kWh battery. The claimed range according to the WLTP cycle is up to 600 km, while JLR’s internal testing showed a real-world range of approximately 535 km.
The 800-volt electrical system charges the battery from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes. According to the company, the ThermAssist system reduces energy consumption for cabin heating by 40%.
The price of this flagship SUV in an electric version for the brand will range from $138,000 to $208,000, with the highest price being paid by residents of the brand’s native UK.
