POCO has announced plans to launch the new POCO F9 series of smartphones on September 1st, which will include two high-performance models: the POCO F9 Ultra and the POCO F9 Pro.
The company officially revealed the design of its flagship smartphone. It will be available in a new “dark cherry” color. The image shows three camera modules and one flash unit. As with last year, we can expect the main, wide-angle, and telephoto cameras. The unit protrudes above the main body, possibly indicating POCO’s focus on photography in the new series. The inscription “Sound by BOSE” appears next to the cameras, suggesting improved audio from BOSE.
Taking everything we know so far together, the picture emerges as follows. Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, VisionBoost D8, and WildBoost form the foundation of the performance, and gaming at up to 185 FPS directly translates this performance into supported titles. POCO also emphasizes that the F9 Ultra’s premium experience isn’t limited to just one gaming feature, and the company will reveal more about the product later during the preview campaign.

This isn’t just a high-performance flagship built around gaming specs. Gaming is at the core, but the device should also offer the balanced performance you’d expect from a top-end flagship. Currently, gaming is the POCO F9 Ultra’s most obvious advantage, with the rest of the company’s premium expertise yet to be revealed.
Another online photo shows a more familiar white case color will be available. There have been no official announcements about the “Pro” version. The brand is maintaining the suspense ahead of the upcoming presentation. The “Ultra” version is called the “All-Round Performance Flagship.”
