Vivo S2 Smartphone With A Curved AMOLED Display Announced

Vivo unveiled the Vivo S2 smartphone in India. The new device features a design inspired by the flagship Vivo X300 FE. There are reports that the device may later be released globally as the Vivo V80 Lite 5G.
The Vivo S2 is powered by a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor, paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM (expandable by an additional 8GB) and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 flash memory. A 3800mm² vapor chamber cooling system is used to dissipate heat.
The smartphone features a 6.83-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution (2800 × 1260 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and a peak brightness of 3000 cd/m². The Vivo S2 has received SGS certifications confirming low blue light and flicker levels. An in-display optical fingerprint scanner is also reported. The Vivo S2’s rear panel features a 50-megapixel main camera with a Sony IMX852 sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an Aura Light LED ring light. A 32-megapixel front camera is available for selfies. Both cameras support 4K video recording.
The device’s long battery life is ensured by a 7050 mAh battery with support for 44 W fast charging and bypass charging.
The Vivo S2 goes on sale in India on August 12. The 8GB/128GB version is priced at INR 39,999 (approximately $420), while the 256GB version costs INR 44,999 (approximately $475).
