Developers from the Dutch studio Square Glade Games (Above Snakes) have announced the forced postponement of their game Outbound, a cozy campervan travel simulator.

The decision to delay the release was difficult, but the adventure’s developers discovered an issue that could have ruined the player experience. Unfortunately, they didn’t have time to fix it before April 23rd. So, three additional weeks of work will allow the developers to ensure the high quality of the new game on all platforms.

“We know this news may be disappointing, but we appreciate your understanding and believe that the delay will allow us to create a more polished, bug-free game.”

In Outbound, players will explore an open world, improving it and creating new buildings. The new game can be played solo or in a team with up to three friends.

Outbound is being developed for PC (Steam, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch 2. It promises a utopian world of the near future, with environmentally friendly energy sources (solar, wind, water).
