MSI has unveiled the MAG 274QP QD-OLED X24 gaming monitor. While the name suggests it’s based on a QD-OLED panel, it doesn’t indicate that it’s the third generation of such panels.

The monitor is VESA ClearMR 13000 certified, demonstrating its ability to deliver high-contrast and crisp images. The monitor’s display covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space with a Delta E < 2 color accuracy. Brightness in SDR mode is 200 cd/m², and in HDR mode, 400 cd/m², which is lower than MSI monitors in higher price segments.

To reduce the risk of screen burn-in, MSI equipped the monitor with OLED Care 2.0 technologies, including automatic pixel shifting, static UI element detection, and taskbar and logo dimming. The panel refresh cycle now occurs every 24 hours instead of the previous 16, and cooling is provided by a dedicated graphene heatsink.

The model is also optimized for console gaming: it supports 1080p and 1440p resolutions at 60Hz and 120Hz, as well as HDMI CEC and VRR functions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.

The monitor is priced at $500.
