MSI announced a brand new miniature computer based on AMD architecture, dubbed the Cubi Z AI 8M. This mini PC can be configured with a variety of Zen 4 “Hawk Point” APUs.

The MSI Cubi Z AI 8M is powered by an AMD Ryzen 8000 series processor (Ryzen 5 8645HS, Ryzen 7 8845HS, or Ryzen 9 8945HS) with an integrated AI accelerator (NPU) that enables on-device AI tasks—it’s powerful enough to run the Microsoft Copilot AI assistant, for example. It features two DDR5 5600 SO-DIMM memory slots, supporting up to 64GB, and one slot for an M.2 2280 (PCIe 4.0 x4) drive. The computer features a wide selection of ports: four USB Type-A ports on the front panel, supporting speeds up to 10 Gbps, another on the rear panel, along with one USB 2.0 and two USB Type-C ports (USB4 class) supporting data transfer rates up to 40 Gbps and power delivery up to 100 W; and two HDMI ports, allowing you to connect up to four displays. There are also two 2.5 Gigabit network ports; a discrete TPM (dTPM) module for hardware encryption and a Kensington lock for hardware security. A built-in speaker is also on board, and the VESA mount allows you to mount the PC behind a monitor or on a wall.

Wireless connectivity is provided by Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E modules. The MSI Cubi Z AI 8M comes with a VESA mount. Pricing is currently unavailable, but further details will be announced soon.
