Huawei has announced the launch of a new flagship smartphone with a triple fold — Huawei Mate XTs. The device will be presented on September 4. The new product promises significant improvements in performance, camera and design, as well as a more affordable price compared to its predecessor.
An insider source at Digital Chat Station reported that the Huawei Mate XTs Extraordinary Master retains the design approach of its predecessor and will be available in two new colors: white and raspberry purple. White will be the main color in the promotion.
The new Mate XT will receive a 50-megapixel main camera with variable aperture and support for Red Maple color rendering, complemented by a periscope telephoto lens.
It is also reported that the second-generation Mate XT will be powered by the Kirin 9020 chipset, which is used in the Huawei Pura 80 family of smartphones. The chip combines a central processor with 1+3+4 architecture (1 × Taishan Big, frequency of 2.5 GHz, 3 × Taishan Mid, frequency up to 2.15 GHz, 4 × ARM Cortex-A510, frequency of 1.6 GHz) and a Maleoon 920 graphics processor. The smartphone also supports satellite communications. According to the insider, Huawei has upgraded the hinge technology in the Mate XT, replacing it with the Tiangong Hinge System, which provides increased strength and improved protection against bending damage.
According to Chinese sources, the Huawei Mate XTs will have a starting price of around 15,000 yuan (approximately $2,060), which is significantly lower than the previous Mate XT model, which launched at 19,999 yuan (approximately $2,750). The price reduction could make the new product more accessible to a wider audience.
