Razer Unveils $170 DeathAdder V4 Pro Gaming Mouse With Optical Wheel, 45,000 DPI Sensor

Razer unveiled the DeathAdder V4 Pro wireless gaming mouse. The new product features an optical scroll wheel — the first time Razer has used this technology.

The mouse supports HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 wireless connection with a latency of 0.291 ms and a polling rate of 8000 Hz. Razer claims that the connection “over the air” has become 63% more efficient. The Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro comes with a hemispherical USB dongle. The dongle has four indicators that display the signal strength, battery charge of the mouse, and the polling rate.

The Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro features Razer GEN-4 Optical Switches with a 100 million click lifespan and improved click response, a Razer FOCUS PRO 45K GEN-2 Optical Sensor with 99.8% accuracy, 85 G acceleration, 900 IPS, and 45K DPI sensitivity, and a 24-speed optical scroll wheel that is 3.3 times more reliable than a mechanical one.

The company claims that the DeathAdder V4 Pro, and in particular its wheel, was developed with eSports in mind. The face of the brand in the eSports arena is Nikola “NiKo” Kovacs, a Counter-Strike legend with more than 10 international titles. Razer emphasizes that the mouse was created with his active participation.

The DeathAdder V4 Pro is available in black and white. The black version weighs 56 grams, while the white version weighs 57 grams. The dimensions of the device are 128 x 68 x 44 mm. The DeathAdder V4 Pro gaming mouse is now available for pre-order in the official Razer online store. The price is $170. Shipments will begin on July 24.
