Samsung to Launch Own Earthquake Alert System

Samsung regularly creates its own alternatives to Google services. For example, it will have its own version of the earthquake warning system on Android. It would not hurt to borrow some of the features of this Google system.

Unlike the Google system, which has long been integrated into Android and is available on all devices of this platform, Samsung decided to go further and added several unique features. For example, users will be able to preview what the notification will look like and save the history of received notifications. It is also possible to adjust the sensitivity of notifications depending on the time of day and the strength of the tremors. Another useful feature will be a list of the nearest shelters and the ability to display the contact information of the smartphone owner and his medical data for rescuers.

I’m Google’s version is good for its core functionality, but it could use some additional features. These include the ability to show emergency details and run a system preview on demand.
