Trump’s Kids Launch Mobile Operator & Announce $500 Gold Smartphone
The Trump Organization, now controlled by Donald Trump’s children, has announced the launch of Trump Mobile and the release of the T1 smartphone in a gold case, priced at $499.
The press release says that Trump Mobile is powered by Liberty Mobile, a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that uses T-Mobile’s infrastructure. The 47 Plan offers unlimited calls, texts, and data, as well as roadside assistance from Drive America and access to 24/7 telemedicine. Coverage and call quality are likely to be similar to those offered by Mint Mobile, Metro, US Mobile, and other MVNOs on the T-Mobile network, with their unlimited plans priced lower than The 47 Plan. As for the T1 smartphone, Trump Mobile’s marketers call it “a sleek gold smartphone engineered for performance and proudly designed and built in the United States.” It is available for pre-order now with a $100 deposit and is expected to ship in August or September 2025.

However, experts are skeptical about the “made in the USA” claim, as most smartphone components are usually sourced from overseas, with final assembly often taking place in Asia.
