Nintendo Raises Prices for Switch 2 Games

While Take-Two Interactive is still pondering whether to sell GTA VI for more than $70, Nintendo is going ahead and doing it: the upcoming arcade racing game Mario Kart World for Nintendo Switch 2 will break that price barrier.

Nintendo has decided to raise the price bar for games, the prices for digital and physical versions are different. Mario Kart World: digital version – $80; physical (cartridge) – $90

At the same time, Donkey Kong Bananza is priced at $70, i.e. there is still a certain division in the Nintendo game catalog and the transition to prices of $80-90 (at least for now) is not complete.

It’s worth noting that the only Nintendo game over $60 so far has been The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for $70 on the original Switch. It’s set to be joined by another Switch 2 exclusive soon.
