1X Technologies Unveils NEO Android Robot
Norwegian company 1X Technologies has introduced the NEO Gamma robot, which can not only clean the house, but also hold conversations thanks to its advanced artificial intelligence.
The Neo Gamma robot is even softer, with a knitted fabric covering it. As a large, heavy and, most importantly, mobile device, the robot itself is dangerous to humans and especially to children or pets. It may not be noticed in a dark corridor, it may accidentally push you or damage furniture or equipment. The developer must provide for most negative scenarios of incidents with the robot, but even then it is unlikely that everything will be covered by the program and insurance.
NEO Gamma is quieter than previous models, the noise level is comparable to a refrigerator. It is equipped with four microphones and three speakers. The robot can vacuum, wash windows, turn on a kettle, and also lift and pass objects.
Founded in 2014 as Halodi Robotics, 1X Technologies is headquartered in Norway and California and specializes in fully autonomous humanoid robots.
