Xiaomi Unveils Budget Smartphone Redmi 14R 5G

Xiaomi has officially unveiled its new budget smartphone Redmi 14R 5G in China.

The new Redmi 14R is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor with up to 8 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a dedicated microSD card slot for up to 1 TB. On the back panel, there is a 13-megapixel main camera and another one of unknown purpose and parameters; in the cutout on the screen, there is a 5-megapixel camera for self-portraits and video calls. The software platform is HyperOS based on Android 14. The 5160 mAh battery supports 18 W charging. There is also a side fingerprint scanner and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Redmi 14R 5G is now available in China for $155. The new product is available in four colors.
