The Horizon Zero Dawn Series Is Already In Development
Steve Blackman, showrunner on The Umbrella Academy, has signed a new deal with streaming service Netflix that will see the two sides “work together for many years.” In addition to the final season of Umbrella, Blackman will direct the adaptation of Horizon: Zero Dawn and the series Orbital.
According to Blackman, the series will focus on character development and be a “breakthrough story” show. At the same time, if you believe the information that appeared earlier on the network, the series will not be a direct adaptation of the original plot, but will become a kind of addition to the history of the game.
Setting is essential when it comes to bringing the video game saga to Netflix, but the question is: From the recent Resident Evil adaptation, we have to wonder if we’ll be facing an alternate history that brings characters made for the occasion onto the scene. In this aspect, Blackman is already telling us that Aloy will be the main character of the series.
While we expected the original video game to be adapted, a release date is currently unknown and the cast of the series has not been discussed. From here It’s time to think about who would be the perfect Aloy.
Earlier in the network there was information about the film crew of the series. The show is produced by technical experts who have had a hand in many successful series and films, including The Boys, The Umbrella Academy and Pacific Rim.
