Microsoft Flight Simulator Anniversary Edition Coming November 11: Trailer with Helicopters and Whatnots
The gaming division of Microsoft got in touch and published a fresh video regarding Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020). It turns out that in the community of fans of this game there was a huge request for the introduction of helicopters and gliders into the game. Well, on November 11, the community’s dream will come true, as the project developers announced today.
As part of this update, the developers of the project will provide gamers with the opportunity to control helicopters and gliders (non-motorized aircraft) – such an opportunity will appear in this video game series for the first time since 2006. And the developers promised to release the update on November 11, and given that Microsoft had not previously postponed update releases, we can confidently wait for new vehicles.
The update will feature many historic aircraft from various eras of aircraft manufacturing, plus Microsoft is adding four new classic airports, ten glider-specific airports, and fourteen helipads. Here it is worth clarifying that the helicopters did not turn out very well – given that the entire planet Earth is represented in the game, only fourteen specialized landing sites look at least scanty against the background of all the rest of the content. Although, of course, a helicopter can be landed literally on any flat surface.
Development of Microsoft Flight Simulator continues, and the previously announced version of Microsoft Flight Simulator 40th Anniversary Edition will be released soon. The developers of the project announced that the standard version of the Microsoft Flight Simulator game will receive an update to the 40th Anniversary Edition on November 11, 2022. The update will be free for all owners of the standard copy of the game, as well as for the Game Pass version.
