The First Trailer For “Batman: Arkham Shadow” Has Been Released
Studio Camouflaj presented a new trailer for the game Batman: Arkham Shadow about the superhero from the DC comics Batman. The video was published on YouTube as part of the Summer Game Fest presentation.
Camouflaj studio head Ryan Payton has confirmed that Arkham Shadow is an official part of the popular Arkham Batman series, noting that the new game takes place between Arkham Origins and Arkham Asylum. The role of Batman will again be voiced by Roger Craig Smith, who previously worked on Arkham Origins.
In the story, Commissioner Jim Gordon, Harvey Dent and other high-ranking officials are kidnapped by the mysterious Rat King, who threatens to execute them within a week for “crimes against the people of Gotham.” As Batman, players must decide how far they are willing to go to prevent these murders. The game also promises to reveal the origins of iconic villains such as Scarecrow and Harley Quinn.
It was previously reported that gamers’ interest in Batman: Arkham Knight grew after the release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Batman: Arkham Shadow is scheduled for release in the fall of 2024 exclusively for Meta Quest virtual reality headsets.
