Tecno Launches Its First Phantom V Fold Foldable Phone With Custom Chipset

The Chinese company Tecno has announced its first smartphone with a folding screen. The model, called the Phantom V Fold, is made in the form factor of a book and is an analogue of the Galaxy Z Fold.

The device weighs a considerable 299 grams. There is no visible masonry when folded. The thickness of the unfolded case is only 6.9 mm.

The external screen of the smartphone is 6.42 inches diagonally with a resolution of 2550 × 1080 pixels. Internal, drop-down when turning the gadget, 7.85 inches with a resolution of 2296 × 2000 pixels. In both cases, AMOLED matrices with a refresh rate of 120 Hz are used.

The heart of the device is an 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chip, complemented by 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256/512 GB of UFS 3.1 internal memory.

The smartphone is equipped with a fingerprint scanner in the side frame and two Dolby Atmos speakers. The outer screen is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, and the telephoto lens allows you to take pictures with a 2x optical zoom. According to the manufacturer, a full charge of the battery takes 55 minutes, in the first 15 minutes 40% of the capacity is filled. The Tecno Phantom V Fold will go on sale in India in the second quarter of this year at Rs 89,999 for the 12+256GB version and Rs 99,999 for the 12+512GB version.
