New iPhone SE 4 May Arrive In 2025

Soon after Apple unveiled the iPhone 15 series, one report suggested that the company is developing a new variant of the iPhone SE. Contrary to previous reports, the iPhone SE 4 project was once again discussed, with Apple looking to repurpose the iPhone 14 design for the affordable next-generation iPhone SE model.

It is assumed that the iPhone SE 4 will receive a modified body of the iPhone 14. It is also expected that the smartphone will lose the Home button with Touch ID, but will receive support for Face ID. It is expected that the iPhone SE 4 will weigh 165 g, which is 6 g less than the iPhone 14. The weight change is likely due to the fact that the new product will be equipped with a main camera based on a single 48 megapixel sensor. The option of a smartphone with a main camera based on a single sensor is a key difference from the iPhone 14.

It is also reported that the iPhone SE 4 body will be made of the same aluminum as the iPhone 14 body, and the back panel will be glass.

The current development schedule points to a 2025 release date. This would be an early 2025 launch, given Apple’s plans to release iPhone SE versions. By then, Apple iPhone 16 phones with supposed A18 and A18 Pro chips will be available in stores.
