Reliable insider Tom Henderson has repeatedly claimed that Cerberus is the codename for the next part of the franchise. Previously, he said that the new Call of Duty would be announced in May 2024 – this information is probably now confirmed.
According to Henderson, players will see the logo and short teaser of the new Call of Duty in May. A full demonstration of the shooter will take place on June 9 as part of the Direct series show, which will take place after the Xbox Games Showcase 2024.
Meanwhile, in the latest update of Call of Duty: Warzone, data miners unearthed an indication of an imminent announcement and the code name of the future game – Cerberus. The three-headed dog also appears in the Xbox Games Showcase 2024 teaser.
It is reported that the future Call of Duty will tell about the war in the Persian Gulf (early 90s), offer more traditional weapons and gadgets for the subseries, and also focus on the CIA and the story from the perspective of different participants in the conflict.
