Huawei Releases Watch D2 With Built-in Blood Pressure Monitor and ECG Sensor

Huawei has introduced the Watch D2 smartwatch, which can continuously monitor blood pressure levels.

The Huawei Watch D2 comes with a strap with an inflatable pad that works like a blood pressure cuff. The strap inflates at regular intervals both day and night, allowing for 24-hour blood pressure monitoring.

So, with the Watch D2, you can monitor your health more closely than with a regular watch that relies only on optical sensors. Of course, the D2 also has an optical sensor that is used to measure your heart rate. In addition, there are ECG and skin temperature sensors. The D2 has been approved by the EU and Chinese health authorities.

The gadget has a thin case and a large AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 1.82 inches. The size of the watch itself is 48×38×13.3 mm, and the weight is 40 g without a strap and 85 g with a strap. This is impressively compact, considering that it has a built-in air pump and a blood pressure sensor. The battery life with normal use is six days, and with regular pressure measurement – a day. There is support for wireless charging, NFC, Bluetooth 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.2.
