Fortnite’s iOS Version Is About To Have More Limits
The iOS and Android versions of Fortnite were removed from the App Store and Google Play in August 2020 due to their unique in-app billing system.
Users who had the final version of 13.40 installed before it was removed will still be able to use it. After January 30, 2023 local time, the in-game currency V-bucks will no longer be used.
According to some recent tweets on the Fortnite Status account, players using iOS, Mac, and Google Play will no longer be able to spend virtual currency through the game’s store. They must also be over 18 years of age to play. The reason for this change is that Epic is implementing features designed to protect kids (and their parents’ wallets). These rather important changes are things that cannot be implemented in any of these stores.
