E3 2023 Has Been Canceled

The IGN portal reports that the upcoming E3 2023 exhibition has been canceled, events both online and live.

According to IGN, in an email to attendees, ESA said that “E3 remains a favorite event and brand,” but the newest iteration of the show “simply didn’t attract enough interest to host it.”

Recall that on the eve of the cancellation, Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, Ubisoft, Sega and Level Infinite (a division of Tencent) refused to participate in E3 2023, and other large companies were allegedly preparing to announce the skipping of the exhibition.

It was not an easy decision given the effort we and our partners put into making this event happen, but we had to do the right thing for both the industry and E3,” ReedPop said.

In a public statement, ReedPop also apologized to everyone who had already made plans to attend E3 2023 and assured that they would continue to work with ESA on “future E3 events”.
