A new game called Artificial Detective was announced at Xbox Partner Preview. It’s a cinematic third-person action adventure with sandbox elements.
The protagonist, a charismatic android with the designation AD 2846, sets out to explore a city overrun by crazed robots to discover the cause of humanity’s extinction. He will be assisted by his faithful robot dog and a girl raised by machines named Mowgli.
Artificial Detective takes place on the streets of Conglomerate North, a criminal metropolis overrun by the evil Rise Corporation. Exploring the city’s multi-level districts, a trio of key characters will use electromagnetic weapons, hack security systems, and weaponize the environment to achieve their goal.
Vivix Studios opened in 2019, initially specializing in CGI graphics. The team was assembled from the developers of Control and Dead Space, as well as the writers of episodes of the anthology series “Love. Death. Robots.” Their debut project, Artificial Detective, was originally conceived as an animated series but eventually evolved into a full-fledged game using Unreal Engine 5.
Artificial Detective is expected to release in 2027 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
