ASUS Introduced The Zenbook Duo Laptop (2024)
Asus, as expected, presented the Zenbook Duo (UX8406) laptop with two OLED displays at CES 2024. The device received two 14-inch touch screens with a resolution of 2880 × 1800 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz (they can also be used as one large 19.8-inch display). The laptop also has a regular keyboard: it is removable, connects via Bluetooth, and can be placed either on top of one of the displays or simply next to the laptop.
The developers have equipped the latest version of Zenbook Duo with a pair of OLED touch displays, each with a resolution of 2880 × 1800 pixels, a variable refresh rate of up to 120 Hz and an aspect ratio of 16:10. Together they provide the user with a 19.8-inch display.
Zenbook Duo (2024) in the maximum configuration is equipped with the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, 32 GB of RAM, 2 TB storage and a 75 Wh battery. As for the available interfaces, users are encouraged to use Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-A, HDMI and a 3.5 mm headset jack. The Bluetooth keyboard charges when attached to the bottom display.
The user can interact with the new product like a laptop, displaying a virtual keyboard on the lower display or using a removable physical keyboard with a Bluetooth connection. At the same time, the detachable keyboard is equipped with a trackpad, so the user will not need to use the on-screen trackpad, which might not be very convenient.
The release of the new product is scheduled for the beginning of this year. Asus Zenbook Duo (2024) will be sold at a price that is quite reasonable given these parameters, starting at $1,500
